The Guardian™ 4 sensor is part of the Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system and is compatible with the MiniMed™ 780G system that uses the Guardian™ 4 transmitter. The sensor converts small amounts of glucose from the interstitial fluid under the skin into an electronic signal. The system then uses these signals to provide sensor glucose values. The sensor is designed to replace finger stick blood glucose readings for diabetes treatment decisions.
